Mission Statement

With the cooperative efforts of parents, teachers, staff, students, and community members, the mission of the Forestdale School is to enhance the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social needs of all students. The Forestdale School is able to accomplish this mission through varied instructional techniques, high expectations, flexibility, use of test results, and most of all, the school’s communication between the home and the community. Our philosophy allows children to maximize their educational experience and become productive and valuable community members.

Description

The Forestdale School is a supportive environment with dedicated administrators, staff, and teachers who work each day to move the students of the Forestdale School into the twenty-first century as capable, lifelong learners.

All curriculums align with the Malden Public Schools Curriculum documents that are based on the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.

The program includes a strong academic curriculum, international communications, multi-cultural resources, and learning a second language beginning in kindergarten. Students have the option of enrolling in a two-way Spanish Puentes Program (grades K-6) or learning Spanish as a foreign language in grades K-8.
